Video-Poker is a casino game of talent – and using the uncomplicated combination of playing method and mathematical know-how, may be beat. Take note of the "pay off schedule" shown on the front of every machine, and look particularly at the most significant facts – how significantly the machine will pay out for a Full-House vs . a Flush.

An sophisticated video-poker gambler will also realise that a "Jacks-or-Better" device – classed as a nine/six device for paying out 9 coins: 1 for just about every Full House and six: 1 for just about every Flush, could be beaten using excellent Basic Electronic-Poker System. Another device offering the sophisticated electronic-poker player an edge is the 10/6 Deuces Wild device. These odds have been confirmed as a result of personal computer modelling. For that other machines – even if a gambler plays the Excellent Video Poker Method casino game, he will still not win, though will have fun playing!

You can find set rules defining Basic Electronic-Poker Method whether wagering online or in a casino – a lot like the Basic Strategy for Black jack,

Jacks-or-Better Video-Poker Method

  • In any hand having a Jack, unless the hand is already a winner! – four to an open-ended Straight, four into a Flush or 3 into a Straight Flush or Royal Flush – refuse all cards only keeping the Jack
  • In any hand holding only 1 card Jack or better, keep the individual high card and reject all other cards and redraw.
  • In any hand holding 1 pair lower than Jacks, maintain the pair and refuse all other cards – unless of course the hand is 4 with a Straight or 4 into a Flush
  • In any hand with a 2-pair, preserve both pair and refuse the odd-card.
  • In any hand holding three-of-a-kind keep the three-of-a-kind and refuse the other two cards.
  • In any hand having four to some Straight, maintain all four Straight cards and re-draw – unless the Straight draw isn’t open-ended and the hand is with a Jack)
  • In any hand having 4 to a Flush, hold the 4 Flush – unless the hand holds 3 to the Royal in which case you would draw to the Royal Flush
  • In any hand having 4-of-a-kind, hold everything since a 1-card draw won’t increase the cards.
  • In any hand having 3 to a Royal Flush, reject anything else and go for the Royal – unless of course the hand is already a Sraight Flush!

Practice these strategies whist playing – perhaps even print this page out to refer to the Basic Electronic-Poker methods until they become 2nd nature. Go on …have the talent and hit those video poker machines!
