Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be bet on in casinos across the world, or in your house on your home computer, using a web account. The game rules are absolutely simple and involve the player attempting to achieve the highest assemblage of cards as you can in order to come away with money. In this respect it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, without the line of contact with competing players. Of course, techniques employed during a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.

The game of Video Poker starts when the enthusiast inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and pushes the deal button. A hand of 5 cards will be electronically ‘distributed’ on the screen.

The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and players should now pick which cards to keep and which to discard. For the cards the enthusiast would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.

After the bettor has chosen which cards he or she would like to retain, they should press ‘deal’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be dealt if desired. The game is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.

Typically, the minimum succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can range from game to game, so that skillful bettors are able to select the most money-making game every time.

After the initial round has finished, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that they may have won. Further, several versions of the game give the bettor a chance to double their profits, in which case a further game is played. There are also variations between specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing characteristics to enhance playability.
